Individual Membership in WADEM
A full membership in the World Association for Diaster and Emergency Medicine includes the following:
- An annual print subscription to Prehospital and Disaster Medicine, WADEM’s academic journal (a $135 value);
- An electronic copy of WADEM’s newsletters Insight and Nursing Insight sent to your email address;
- Certificate of Membership;
- Discounts on WADEM educational products such as the International Disaster Nursing textbook, and the WADEM-SEARO collaborative research book examining the health aspects of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami (the book is currently in the initial review stages);
- Registration discounts for the 17th WCDEM taking place in Beijing, China in 2011 and future WADEM congresses (for the 16th WCDEM, members of WADEM received a $100 discount off the Congress registration); and
- Voting privileges on WADEM business matters and election of Board of Directors.
Annual fees pay for a 12 month membership in WADEM and are determined based on the member's annual income. Please see the table below to determine your membership rate. You can complete the WADEM Membership Application and mail or fax it to the WADEM International Office. Also, you can apply and pay online through WADEM's secure PayPal page by clicking on the links below.

*An electronic membership is available as an alternative membership for students, retirees, individuals in professional training programs, and members with limited resources. This electronic membership includes:

from the Drop Down Menu and click on either the "Renew Membership" or "Join WADEM" button.
This will take you to WADEM's secure PayPal webpage.
