Call for Papers - Disaster Nursing Supplement
The official journal of the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine, Prehospital and Disaster Medicine (PDM), is planning to publish its second disaster nursing supplement in late 2010.  The purpose of the supplement is to provide a forum for disaster nursing research that disseminates the information globally and creates a knowledge database that qualifies and enhances the healthcare provided by nurses in a variety of roles and settings throughout all phases of a disaster.  The intent is not to separate the field of disaster nursing from other disciplines, but to highlight it. To this end, through the addition of the disaster nursing supplement, PDM seeks to actively encourage and cultivate evidence-based qualitative and quantitative disaster nursing research worldwide.

Please consider submitting your relevant disaster research information for publication in this exciting, new supplement.  Pass this information on to your research colleagues. Submissions for the disaster nursing supplement should be sent to PDM's Production Editor, Dana Schmidman, and should follow PDM’s standard author guidelines available at - http://pdm.medicine.wisc.edu/author_instructions.html.
